# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Virginia**Start Date:** August 24, 2026 **Location:** Salem, Virginia **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day or night shift available; 12-hour shifts; four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period**Highlights:** - 27-bed Emergency Department with fast-paced, high-acuity environment- Patient ratios of 4-6:1 with strong team support including RN and medic collaboration- Perform critical procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, and central line placement- EMR system: Meditech- No on-call requirements**Requirements:** - Minimum 2-3 years of Emergency Department experience- Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments- Active RN license- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC- Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH- Experience with high-acuity, high-volume emergency departments preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic emergency department where you'll utilize your critical care skills in stroke, sepsis, and trauma protocols.
