As a Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team-oriented with a focus on team empowerment \u0026 shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning, and a culture of innovation.\n\nFor this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:\n\n * Develop software utilizing C/C++ to modernize and productionize a research codebase\n * Develop software infrastructure to support CI/CD, software metrics collection, and MLOps\n * Implement software-systems, applications, and architectures that leverage techniques to support achieving increased modularity, scalability, and reliability, while also maintaining precision, accuracy, and speed to meet performance requirements\n * Ensure industry software engineering best practices and standards are applied and maintained\n * Work closely with Software Leads to understand program intent, system capabilities, and output requirements\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of relative experience; Master\u0027s degree in a STEM discipline with 0+ years of relative experience\n * Active Top Secret security clearance and enrolled in Continuous Evaluation\n * Ability to meet customer-specific security screening requirements within a timeframe set forth by management\n * Willingness and ability to work onsite full-time\n * Experience working in C/C++\n * Proven ability to code new software and modify existing software to add new features\n * Ability to debug existing software and correct defects\n * Experience with open software/system architecture solutions\n * Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders\n * Experience with developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines\n * Experience with Git-based or other software configuration management tools\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)\n * Experience with Linux operating systems\n * Experience with CUDA and GPUs\n * Experience with high performance numerical/scientific computing, parallel computing\n * Experience with developing for SWaP-constrained environments\n * Familiarity with signal-processing algorithms\n * Familiarity with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum and DevSecOps\n\n\n\nThis position is contingent upon clearance and special program access.\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
